Intel 1150 stock cooler compatibility with 1155 board?

Afternoon,

I have an older 1155 board and CPU, and an extra intel 1150 stock cpu cooler. Would that be compatible? Think it should, since a socket change doesn't seem to effect the size of the chip, nor the layout of the CPU coolers. Just wanted to check before I messed something up.
