Basically whenever I turn off the machine right before its supposed to turn off it decides lets turn off and on rapidly over and over again non stop.

The only solution to the problem is to manually turn off the power bar otherwise it will keep going.

Now when I go and flip the power back on the led's all flash for a sec and then turn off again. If I go and press the power button nothing happens. Or it flashes for a second and then nothing.

If I open up the case the led's and motherboard all flash for a second. if I move the hard drive a cm same thing occurs.

The solution to fix the problem is to unscrew the 4 screws in the power supply open up the case. Take it out from where its to at the bottom of the case and then move it over to the side of the case plug in the power cord and presto the led on the motherboard is solid and is good to go. Then I proceed to put the power supply back into the case and turn it on and away we go. Which to be honest I don't think your supposed to be doing that all the time.

I am pretty sure its the power supply after all its the cheap knockoff brand that came with the machine which if I had my time back maybe I should have built my machine instead of getting a prebuilt one but that's it.

Here's a link to the machine itself: http://

Here's a link to the power supply that I switched it out to: http://

Now you might be thinking if you bought a new power supply what happened to that one? Well I sent in the mail in rebate for it and then the power supply decided to just die 5 months later and I kinda threw it out as the cost to ship it back to corsair was around $55.00 for some odd reason which does make sense as I live in Canada so I swapped that one for the default one which is a .

The only other problem with the machine is the blue 120mm fan up on top every time you turn it on it proceeds to make a loud noise and eventually it calms down. I was thinking what if we clean the fan blades nope that isn't the issue its the bearing inside the fan itself. Anyway the machine isn't under warranty anymore so time to replace some parts.

I am thinking atm of replacing the power supply with this one: This

I am also thinking about replacing the fan up on top with this one: This

The graphics card is alright for now I will be replacing it sometime in the next few months so if anyone has any suggestions in regards to what I should replace it with feel free to post below with some suggestions. Or if you think I can get a better fan for the top or a better power supply money wise that could work as well. Looking forward to some responses.

First of all, the loud fan noise happens because at times you have no fan speed control anymore. Every time I start my working computer (and my dad's) the fans initially spin up then settle down.

PSU?
Probably. I can't think of a different reason for your problems.

GPU?
Depends on your budget. Perhaps minimum R9-270X and maximum GTX970. Start a new thread when you plan to buy.

yea its a bit odd to say the least when I turned it off before I went to work a few hours ago it of course decided to just completely shut down and then in order to get it back up and running just now I had to do the thing i mentioned before.
The fan itself the one on top has done this for the past 8 months or so it wasn't like this before btw.

Anyway what do you think about replacing it with this power supply? http://
