Duplicate Files on Added Hard Drive

Hi, my husband installed a second hard drive for me since I was running out of space. And he moved the file location of my pictures to the new drive. However now I seem to have 3 copies of the photos - 2 on the original drive and 1 on the new drive. If any one of them is deleted they all get deleted. Is there an (easy) way for me to fix this so that I only have the one copy on my new drive? Thanks :)

I believe at least one of them are the actual files as there was no additional space cleared up on the hard drive. He used the the move function under the properties/location. The pictures under "Pictures" refer to the the D drive where we moved them. However there is a folder under "Pictures" which is "My Pictures" which has all the pictures still and they don't refer to the D Drive.
