I recently got this issue where after logging in to my Windows 8.1 account I'll be met with a black screen which I'm unable to interact with.
However, I can see the mouse cursor and I have been able to open the task manager and thereby access any apps or folders. In fact, I'm writing this thread while the background screen is completely black. I was even able to screenshot what this looks like: http://i.gyazo.com/06a6a0d7f5cb568b004ac0f6f15c2413.png
If anyone in the forums can help me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it.
