Gaming Noob- Inspiron 560 Upgrade Suggestions?

Hi,

I am a newb and would like to get in to PC gaming. I have an Inspiron 560 with an Intel Pentium (dual core 2.7 GHz) and the default graphics card. I am not a complete newb (lol); I research tech stuff all the time. I just have not done any PC gaming whatsoever (besides minecraft) and would like some suggestions for some upgrades. It has 4GB of ram, not sure what ddr. I would also like whatever it is to be relatively cheap.

Honestly, with pre-built systems like dell, it is easier to just start over and do an almost completely new build (windows copy and hard drive might be worth reusing). You will be upgrading alt of parts and they most likely won't fit in your case. You can do a pretty good new build for around $650 that will outperform your dell by a good margin in every aspect. Or you can spend $1,000 and be amazed.
