Computer won't display 1080p @60Hz via HDMI, only 30Hz

I've scoured the internet looking for an answer, and found nothing of use. I had an AMD HD 7770 and my 32" Insignia 1080p TV, but if I hook it up via HDMI, I only get 1080i. Luckily my GPU came with a DVI to VGA adapter, so that's what I've been using ever since. I wanted a dual monitor setup, but I can't because the DisplayPort does the same thing. I know my TV is 1080p because DVI/VGA displays that no problem and my PS3 also displays that via HDMI no problem. Today, my new HD 7950 came in and I put it in. I thought maybe my old GPU had bad driver support, so I figured this would be okay. Hooked it up by HDMI, and 30Hz again. Before I installed the drivers, I had a 1080p @60Hz resolution without issue. If you need any more info, please ask. I would love to have this working correctly.

Weird. I'd have assumed that the HDMI cord was faulty, but the fact that you had 1080p @ 60 Hz before installing the drivers is disheartening. So is the fact that DP does the same thing. Have you been trying different HDMI cords?

Which drivers did you install? How many displays do you have connected to the 7950?

Can you post the model of your TV?

What software are you using to play your content. I use GOM and i have to go into the setting and set 16:9 aspect ratio and then I click full screen.
