multiple raid arrays per enclosure

Is it possible to have (lets say) 2 separate RAID 1 arrays in a single 4 bay enclosure? If so, is this a widely supported feature among RAID enclosures?

It depends on what you mean by "RAID enclosures" ... If you mean external disk enclosures then it would depend on the disk controller. If you mean NAS units then, definitely YES. If you mean enterprise RAID units then most definitely. Just not sure what type of hardware you are trying to describe.
