I bought a new gpu (msi gtx 970) and my computer refuses to work while it is installed. I power my pc, fans spin, lights light up but I get no video signal from the gpu or from motherboard. GPU is fine, it has been tested in a another computer. PSU is fine too, tested with two different ones to be sure, voltages are fine when check from BIOS. All components should be compatible and my PC works fine with my old gpu (gtx 560 ti). Any ideas what to do? Something wrong with the mobo maybe? PC: i5 3570k - z77a-gd55 - tx650w

I've updated BIOS and still no go. I'm not sure but it seems like the CPU doesn't start when the gtx 970 is plugged in. When I power up my PC and after waiting a few minutes, I press the power button again and the PC powers down instantly.

remove the gpu and start the pc
if it is starting with out the gpu then shut down and fix the gpu and see if this don't work
remove the motherboard battery and keep 10min and put is and try ok
