Random freezing pc

Hello, i just bought a new pc:
i7 4790k (seidon 240m)
msi gtx970
msi gaming 7
16gb@1886

well the thing is last night i played da inquisition for about 8 hours without any problem...
then today while i was downloading bf4(and expas) and playing Deus ex human rev.. when i alt tabed back to the game, it freezed up (with audio loop incluided) since i couldnt even ctrl + alt + sup i had to hard reset the pc after 10 min...
what could made this?? cpu problems? mb?
also my cpu runs kinda hot at 40 idle and 70 when i play da inquisition (max 55 in deus ex)

well im kinda freaking out >.< mb im beign paranoic, hope i can get some help

RAM issues are among those potentially causing random lockups.

Click the Windows 'start' button (used to be a start button anyhow) and type "memory" in the run/search box and run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. Choose 'Restart now...' or 'Check for problems...' as appropriate and let it run the check against your memory. It will display the results when windows next loads (pending any lockups).
