Can't boot Windows 7 partition after installing Windows 8 on a separate partition.

I have used Windows 7 for a number of years, but decided to try Windows 8 so I could make apps for the windows phone. I partitioned my hard drive, and then created a Windows 8 thumb drive. I launched from the thumb drive, and selected to install it onto my second partition. It installed, but with a number of problems: there are black borders around my screen, and it won't connect to the internet.

Windows 7 will no longer boot from its partition. When I look under disk manager, it no longer lists "Boot" as one of the listed items for the partition. I cannot figure out a way to boot from my original, Windows 7 partition. Any ideas?
I can include additional information/screenshots upon request.
Thanks

Sounds like you might have damaged or corrupted your boot loader... just insert your Windows DVD and boot from that.. and select option to repair Windows... you may have to run it a few times for it to pinpoint and correct the entire problem.
