laptop taking too much time for booting up, even though hard disk is almost empty.

i have a hp laptop with i5 4th gen processor and has 4GB Ram with 2GB intel as well as 2GB nvidia graphics card. my 1TB hard disk is almost empty. Now i am facing a problem in booting of my system.
kindly provide me a suggestion to make my laptop back into a good condition

Hey Jijo Jose. Firs I'd recommend that you backup any important data which you might have on the drive, just in case. This is a standard procedure when someone has any suspicion that there might be something wrong with a hard drive. Then I'd suggest that you download the manufacturer's diagnostic tool and test the drive with it to see if there's anything out of the ordinary. If everything seems fine, I'd try connecting the drive with a different computer to see if the same thing happens again.
