I'm going to be ordering a gaming PC within the next few days, I'll mostly be doing things like photoshop and illustrator, but I also would like to get the best out of games like BF4 and Minecraft (with shaders) and with a relativly high 60+ FPS. I have the graphics card (EVGA ACX Superclocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5) and the processor (Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 4.0 GHz 8MB) picked out. So 8Gb or 16Gb, ive been getting mixed opinions, and it is a $100 difference. Thankyou!

I'd go for 16 if you intend to be using a web browser while playing minecraft/bf4/etc. With the 8gb I have now I am almost constantly hitting the ram limit with just two tabs open in (one being a video, 720p 30fps) during minecraft. 3gb allocated to minecraft which since java is java uses anywhere from 3gb to 4.5gb browser uses up anywhere from 300mb to 2gb depending on content, FTB overhead is usually 500mb + windows usage.

I don't have any stats on any other games than minecraft but minecrafts the only one I have had problems with enough to actually measure my ram usage so...

Its up to you but my current workload needs 16gb so I can effectively multitask.

Edit: Didn't see the price difference in the OP before posting... At 100...

Edit: Didn't see the price difference in the OP before posting... At 100 bucks extra I'd just settle with 8gb honestly.
