When I overclock:
CPU core
GPU core
FSB
HT on AMD
System RAM
GPU RAM
The key to overclocking system ram is finding balance between speed and latency (timings). If you need to drop from CAS 8 to CAS 9 to get stability for 50mhz more speed on the RAM, it will actually be slower overall and not worth it.
