I'm building my own rig for Video and VFX Rendering Purpose. And I have chosen the i7 4790k CPU and Asus Z97-A mobo. And the Gskill sniper 2*8 GB ram. And I'm not sure about the GPU i must use. The GPU is mainly used for Video Editing purpose, which highly depends on my CPU than GPU. But I still want a suggestion on my GPU. A casual gaming wouldn't hurt. And it must be around 12k inr to 15k inr (~ 200 USD to 250 USD). Thanks in Advance.

Hello,

You can use any GPU you want, it will not make big difference in video editing (you can use CUDA or AMD Stream, but the best quality is still attained by software rendering).

For gaming, your budget can buy an R9-280X, very good for 1080p resolution.

Hello,

I actually have a very similar build to yours that im stuck on also! I will be using my build for media housing with the capability to edit HD footage. Would the build noted below be sufficient? Is a video card necessary? Do you foresee any bottlenecks? If anyone would want to piggy back on this also, id greatly appreciate it.

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor , Asus Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard , Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory , Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card , Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply -
