This is the build that I intend to have:

CPU:Intel Core i5-4690K
MOBO:Gigabyte ga-z97mx
GPU:Gtx 970
Cooler options:

Cooler Master Hyper 212
Noctua Ventilador NH-D14, S-1366, 1200RPM

RAM: Ddr3 Kingston Hyperx Fury 8gb 1866mhz Pc
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 3.5'', 1TB, SATA III, 6 Gbit/s, 7200RPM, 64MB Cache
SSD Kingston 128GB
Power Supply 3: Corsair Pw Rm650 Gold
Case: Nzxt H440

My questions are:

Another user suggested a dual GPU, like having two GTX 970.

I do want play the latest videogames such as GTA V, Witcher 3, Far Cry 4, etc., but I don't care too much about the 4K stuff, I think 1080 would be just fine.

I am afraid about the power consumption and the noise generated by two GTX 970. In my country going over a certain level of power consumption gets you pretty high electricity bills.

I guess my question would be how much more power would a dual GPU generate versus a single GPU. Is it really worth it? Doe this chipset support dual GPU's in the event that I wanted to do so in the near future?

Would it be too noisy? Twice as much?

Thanks in advance for your help

The rule of thumb is to always get the best single GPU you can afford, and then SLI later when you need to. GTX 970 is more than enough for 1080p max settings.

I would recommend the R9 290 over the GTX 970 due to Nvidia's shady business practices, but if power consumption is that much of an issue then get the 970

Not true, running 2 970s will only add another 145w to the system. Even then, dual GPUs never really use 2x that

a single gtx 970 should be enough for quite awhile for 1080p gaming, i do agree and am dissapointed with the whole 3.5gb vram and the extra .5 being very slow but that only matters at very high resolutions. you should be just fine with 1 970, if games start to lagg at the settings you want in the future then just get another one(unless the game is using more than 4gb vram on your card) or by then just grab another high end card and keep or sell the 970 as a backup.
