I'm in a building with wifi only, but would like to hook up a router to be wired as it's not protected. Is that possible?

I'm in a resort with unprotected wifi only, but would like to connect a router to be wired. Is that possible?

You'd have to set it up like a range extender or access point, which would require some access to the main router.

I'd ask the resort owners to secure the wifi, it's not that tough to hand out the password and reset on a regular basis.
