I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to computers, and this is my first custom build I did with a budget of around ~$750 for parts, and about another ~$350 for the peripherals/monitors. Not sure if everything is compatible as i am not 100% positive what to look for exactly, but everything appears correct as of now.

CPU: i5-4690K 3.5GHz (got this for a unbeatable price, HAD to buy it)

CPU Cooler: Stock intel

Motherboard: Asus Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory: Kingston Fury Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

Storage: Western Digital WD Green 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 290 4GB DirectCU II Video Card

Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black/Orange) ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: NZXT HALE82 V2 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Optical Drive: LG GH24NSC0B DVD/CD Writer

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

The total price (excluding case/PSU) is around $750 (Good thing for doing price research, case and PSU were a separate thing). I will primarily be using this build for school work, also some light to slightly heavy gaming, but im not sure if i will be overclocking yet. Are there any complications regarding any parts in this? Any helpful tips for a new custom PC user? Also, do you guys have any recommendations for a monitor (will be running two at preferably 1-4ms or 120Hz+)?

your brocreation looks pretty good, the only thing I might change is the 5400RPM HDD to a 7200RPM HDD, especially if it's your only drive.
