I'm trying to fix a DELL Inspiron Laptop N5010: The laptop will not recognize the ethernet cord, so NO internet. I've tried more than one cord. I've tried downloading all eight networking drivers from the dell website onto a flashdrive and unzipped them to the broken laptop.... But, of course, everything I need to click in order to install or update is grayed out on the device page where I have yellow arrows showing that these things need to be installed. (both wifi and network controller)

I ran a full scan from command prompt and it said fine.

There was some crap on it, but I ran malwarebytes in safe mode and got it all off. Scans clean now.

Hope this makes sense. Please respond. Thanks.

I understand your problem... you just need to drivers installed.. Are you sure you are installing the correct versions? What you could do is go back to Device Manager where you see the yellow icons... and right click to select UNINSTALL them all.. then you can restart the computer and try reinstall them... but make sure you install the correct one... if the laptop had a drivers disk.. I would use that instead.
