I have an old(er) PC build
CPU i5 750
8GB or DDR 3 1333
GTX 560 (non ti)

I play games at 1920x1080 usually on low/med (depending on the game, sometimes I can get high settings with good fps). I know games are going to be a bit harder so I was eyeing the gtx 960. First is this a substantial upgrade for a 560? It looks like it compared to the hierarchy chart but I Dont know how that translates to real life performance.

My other option was my friend was offering me his gtx 660 (non ti) plus his i5 3550 for $200. Would this update be like a 2 for 1 since I know my CPU is outdated as well.

Last option was to buy another 560 on Craigslist for $60. What do you think? I Dont need top graphics, just enough to get better fps for the next year. Thanks!

Edit: also note that I am not a hardcore PC gamer. I play once or twice a week. Games are battlefield 3 (not 4 yet), advanced warfare, dragon age inquisition, etc.)

660 is 50% better than 560 and 960 is 30% better than 660.

i5+660 for $200 is the best deal but check the gpu before buying it, second hand parts are a bit risky. Your next best choice is 960 and never go for 560sli.

Thanks for fast response. He's a good friend of mine and I saw him play games on it before (BF4) and all looks well. I didn't see any crashes. I dunno about temps or anything, but I'm not a PC guy so I dunno how to look for those.
