Hello, I'm a complete novice and i would like to know, whats the best way to store 10 external hard drives into a one case and connect it to my pc, so it behaves the same way as if the externals were connection via usb, i realise i need a power supply but how many watts and some cooling, do i need a motherboard? i just want to tidy things up, then use my pc to connect to tv to watch movies and listen to music, just a starting point would be very helpful, thanks in advance

Taking the drives out of the enclosures does not always work depending on the external drive. There are drives that are encrypted/protected via hardware.

You could try using a powered USB3.0 Hub if you have a USB3.0 port on the computer. I would start with one just to test it.
Not sure how it would effect the streaming when more then one drive is accessed.

they are actual external hdd but i could take the drives out of the enclosures to make them regular hdds, then look for an enclose for ten hdds, just not sure how everything connects up
