Finally going to build my own PC, are these parts good?

So I have finally decided to take the leap, and instead of getting it ordered from ibuypower, cyberpower, and even ironside; I am going to build my own. I have NEVER built one before and I am terrified I will mess something up, be missing something, etc. I'm going to watch this tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WQxr59KRto ), I think it looks pretty good, the only problem is installing case fans (still no clue there). Anyways, i've compiled all the necessary parts (I think). Please let me know if i will be needing any extra cords, components,etc. aside from the ones listed.

Hard Drive $55
DVD $20
CPU $340
RAM $130
GPU $350
MOBO $110
PSU -$60
OS $100
Speakers $15
Wireless Card (USB) $15

Does everything look ok, any suggestions I should seriously take into consideration? I really appreciate any response, hopefully this wont be as hellish as it seems, thankyou!

The i7, 16GB of RAM and powerful GTX 970 should be perfect for your needs then.

However SSDs can be very handy time savers if you ever get into serious video editing.

On the GPU GTX 960 is as good a GPU as you need for graphic design, but the GTX 970 will keep you going at high settings gaming for longer.

GPU u can take gigabyte g1 gaming edition, better performance and cooling. (If u want to spend that little extra $)
add an ssd, Samsung 840 evo cheap and best.
u can cut down on vengeance pro to a normal vengeance 1600

All those parts are compatible and will work well together. You can always look up tutorials for the fans. Its really not that hard.

Basically cold air goes down and hot air goes up. So many setups have a fan at the top of the case sucking the hot air up and out of the case, which is something worth thinking about. But really, even if you get fan placement slightly wrong it won't make more than a few degrees of difference to your system. You definitely won't break anything!

Adding an SSD is great if you like fast loading times. Putting the OS on the SSD helps the computer start very quickly.
SSDs also help a lot with video editing, and games like the Sims 3 with long loading times at the start benefit a lot from being on an SSD as well.

Where would i put the SSD upon install, and how would i be sure to put the OS on it (sorry haven't dont anything like this in 4 years) also, is my wireless connector good? As I am not close to a router.

I am planning on running any game I throw at it at least 50-60 fps on High-Ultra. Running minecraft shaders at atleast 60 fps is also a must. I also do a lot of graphic design so being able to handle Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and have the internet open at the same time is a must. As much as I want to take the SSD advice, it is an extra $100, and I do not have one on my current PC and its never really bothered me. I'm still contemplating on it, but it means more saving, which is always a tease. And I do not think I could add the SSD later on because I will need to install the OS immediately.... Are we talking stunning performance differences that highly affects programs and FPS?

Nah, an SSD will not affect FPS in games. It just helps with loading times and eliminating pop up textures. If like you said that it never bothered you then don't worry about it. You can always add an SSD later if you want to. It doesn't need to be in your system from the start.
