Hi before Christmas I made a backup of my pc. I put a new chipset in and then had to reinstall windows. How do I fully restore my windows back to its original form?

henry2911,

When you say, "I made a backup of my pc", did you use a backup program to make a system image, or do you mean you saved all your files? If you made a system image, that program should have a restore sequence that will put everything back just the way it was- the drivers, programs, your browser will have all it's bookmarks and the desktop will be arranged just the way it was, and etc. If you only saved your files and you reinstalled Windows, you'll need to reload the special drivers for the video card and printer, all the programs, fonts, etc., and settings.

A system backup sves a lot of time. My C:\ drive is about 132GB and manual loading and configuring everything takes me about 12 hours. With a system image restore click about three buttons and come back in an hour and a half.
