I'm planning to buy a rig which shall be mainly used for graphical modelling, rendering and simulation softwares like ANSYS, NASTRAN, ADAMS, SolidEdge and other similar softwares.

Could someone please suggest a configuration for me? My overall budget is around 60,000INR (Indian rupees). That's close to 1000 USD.

Thanks!

That will be a challenge. A Xeon 1231 will give you hyperthreading and quad core cheaper than an i7, you need 16Gb of memory, preferably ECC and a motherboard to run them, enough storage, and only you know how much, a basic discrete GPU to drive the display (GTX750ti is good and comparatively inexpensive) but you may need to go much cheaper than that. A Good 350 to 450W PSU will be enough, a cheap cabinet, monitor, keyboard, and then there's the OS.

I have configured enough systems to know that all that will not fit into 60,000 Rs. Where can you compromise?
