Hi, I current have a gts 450 card and are looking at upgrading to this gtx 760 card. Do you know if my system will be able to run it and will it make a significant difference over my gts 450. I am mainly upgrading so i can play fps games and am considering buying a 144hz gaming monitor.

I have a cyberpower pc. Asus DDR3 1800 motherboard. AMD Phenom II x6 1055t 2.8 mhz 6 core cpu , 4gb ram and 650w psu. I understand the gtx 760 card has a 8 pin connector were as my gts 450 has a 6pin . will i need an additional adaptor.?

regards
mike

Does the PSU look like this one? http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Alpine-650W-quiet-ATX-PSU-/271733807329
It is listed with a jsp-650p12p MPN. If that's it, it will be... too small IMO. Nvidia recommends a 500W PSU minimum for that card. While your PSU may be rated as a 650W, it has the specs of a 450W. If that is your PSU above, that is.

If this is the card you want, it requires an 8 pin PCIe connector. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121775

Yes, it will make a considerable difference. But do you have enough power supply for the 170W card? It draws more than the old GTS 450: http://www.hwcompare.com/14841/geforce-gts-450-vs-geforce-gtx-760/
List the make/model of the PSU and the exact make/model of the card you are interested in. Most GTX 760 require 2 x 6 pin, not a 8 pin.
