HI, I WAS WONDERING IF I UPGRADE FROM MY Kingston HYPERX 3K SSD TO A SAMSUNG 850 EVO OR PRO IF I WOULD NOTICE MUCH A DIFFERENCE in real world performance such as installing windows boot times and game load times. I do do a lot of installations

Solution
No, you will not notice a speed/performance difference.

I have a 120GB Hyperx 3K as my boot drive. Recently I bought 2x 840 EVO 250GB drives.
I left the Kingston as the boot drive.

I have had 3 SSD's HyperX 3K 128G, Samsung Pro 840 Pro 256G, and Samsung 850 Pro 512G. HyperX was used ok for everyday apps but gaming took a serious hit. 840 Pro wasn't as fast as I'd hoped for but was still faster than HyperX. Got the 850 Pro a few months ago and OMG once I put the updates Magician software in it was everything I had read about SSD's FAST FAST FAST!!!!! Windows 8.1 loads in a lil less than 4 sec. Machine setup is I-7 4790K w/ 16 gig HyperX Beast from Kingston. I play FFXIV at full settings and doesn't skip, load times are great for Games and Main apps. Even file transfer from SSD to SSD is nice (Got 840 Pro in SATA case pull & Go). Hope this helps out ^^
