In my Asus Q550LF laptop, I currently have a 1TB HDD.
I've recently realized that I have an mSATA slot with "SSD" printed next to it. The total space is two inches.
So I'm thinking about integrating an SSD into my laptop for speed/performance. I have one option of buying an SSD and replacing my HDD, but I want to use the mSATA port it possible.
I've read that you can buy a small (32gb) mSATA SSD and use that to speed up the current HDD.
However, is it possible to get a larger mSATA SSD (120gb), install Windows 8.1 onto the mSATA SSD, and keep my HDD where it is just for storage? Is this practical and/or worth it?
What do you suggest?
(Sorry if anything may sound confusing, but I'm not an expert on this stuff)
