8gig ram but usable only 2gig

I have windows 7 32 bit installed and my momo is Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

When i go too computer properties it shows 8gig ram but 2gig usable shouldnt it show 8gig usable or is it normal?how can i fix it cause i saw it know after I installed cpu cooler.Can it be the windows version or wrong dimm slot cause i did take them out.Please help.?

Windows 32 bit is resource hungry and only allows for 4gigs of ram while eating up some of it. In order to use all 8gigs of ram, you'll have to upgrade to a 64 bit OS.

If you are running a 32bit operating system, it is mathematically constrained to 4 GB, and will start using portions of that 4GB to try and address the "extra" RAM. Please upgrade to a 64 bit version of Windows and you will be fine. :)
