Hi experts:

I have 1 GB RAM in it now, what are the upgrade option do I have?
1) get another 1gb RAM to add to it (is there another slot to put the additional in)
2) get a 2GB RAM to replace the existing 1GB RAM

and please suggest what are the comparable brand of RAM.

The laptop supports upto only 4 GB of RAM (if this is the exact model ---> http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/Eee_PC_1215B/specifications/). So, I recommend getting two 2 GB sticks.

Or you can download the document for <your_country> edition from here http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/Eee_PC_1215B/HelpDesk_Manual/ and see how much voltage/speed/timings it really can support.
