PC doesn't boot up properly

Hello everyone,

Like I said my PC is showing strange behaviour on boot up. On the first time, it arrived to the windows logo and wouldn't go further. The second time, it passed the motherboard splash screen and showed a blank screen with a flashing dash on the top. And then nothing. When I restart the pc it will boot up fine but this is worrying me. What could be the problem?

run hdtune and vendor test tools for the drives. sounds like one of the drives locked your system from posting.

It appears your boot drive is failing - as smorizio said, run a test on the drive from the manufacturer's website (i.e. with Seagate, they have Seagate tools).

I don't think it is an hdd problem because in general, it post and boot normally. I had those problems from 2 days but till now nothing more happened.

If your problem persist try the following things:

Unplug your computer power cord and take out the cmos battery from motherboard for 5-10 minutes
Clean the dust from your computer.
Remove cables from hard drive ( sata cable and power cable) and plug them again to hard drive( to avoid an imperfect contact).
Scan your hdd for bad sectors. I recommend HDD REGENERATOR
