ok so my PC won't boot. It booted fine last night, so I'm not really sure where to go from here.

specs: i7 3770k, ASRock Extreme 4 Mobo (Z77), 16GB RAM (G-Skills), Corsair AX 750 Gold PSU, 2x GTX 670.

Things I've done: I've checked the PSU with the paper clip test (I know, it's not comprehensive, but it's all I've got). I've switched the CMOS battery, I've made sure the "reset" pins aren't shorting by removing all the leads from that interface on my motherboard.

I'm not sure how to test my CPU (I don't have another mobo lying around to test with). If I plug in the ethernet, or hit the RESET CMOS button the back of the tower, the board shows life by either showing the light above the ethernet cable or "squealing" (electronic squeal) when I push the CMOS button.

My board has the power and reset buttons right on it, so I've been using those buttons instead of the case buttons.

I've removed my two GPUs, just to make sure it's not a power issue.

I've tested each RAM module individually in slot 1 (they're installed in 1 and 3 as per my manual).

Anything else I can do?

I took it in to somewhere and they tested the various components. The PSU was fine, but the motherboard was lifeless.

My advice to anyone who is facing the same issues: take it in to a computer repair shop (not Geek Squad), they'll usually test the components for free.
