Hello,

I'm looking for a new hard drive that can replace my current one.I built this gaming computer four months ago and I'm disappointed with my hard drives performance recently.

It takes a while to load my games (Fallout New Vegas,CS:GO)

And it takes a while to load Google Chrome, and it took 30+ seconds to go to sleep.I'm 99% sure that a virus isn't causing these symptoms,as I've ran Malwarebytes anti-malware,Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit (Both in safe mode) I've also ran Norton full system scans and Norton Power Eraser.
And it was making a clicking noise while downloading CS:GO and after it was finished downloading,it was extremely slow.I was told that it's a sign of a bad hard drive.

My hard drive is 2% defragmented, and I'll defrag it before I purchase a new hard drive, but at this point,it looks like it's a bad hard drive.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm definitely thinking about buying one,but if I do,how would I transfer all of my data from the current one to the new one? I know there's software from the manufacturer, but I'd like a in-depth look.

Couldn't you just back onto an external then recover onto the other or is it more complicated than that? just curious...
