I recently downloaded a couple things from the web, and found a couple files which were most definitely malware. So I got rid of them. But when I uninstalled, I could no longer access the internet, however I am still connected to the wifi. I have tried a full scan with both MalwareBytes and AVG. When I try to access a web page, my browser gives me the error code: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET

It came up on a google search as working OK.

Try doing a router reset.

In the command prompt window, type in the following commands one by one and hit Enter:

ipconfig /releasel

ipconfig /all

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

netsh int ip set dns

netsh winsock reset

I tried all of that. It didn't let me do the 'netsh winsock reset'. Said the operation required elevation <Run as administrator>..... But I am the admin...

I can access the internet just fine on any other device. It's just my computer that can't surf the web. I'm using my old computer and an external hard drive to download any software that will help. So far, countless google searches and a few anti malware programs have not solved the issue.
