Dead video card?

Got a EVGA GTX 750ti for Christmas and not a month after I got it I'm pretty sure it's dead. When it's in my computer the fans still run and I can feel it gets hot but, my monitor does not display any image. It detects a cable plugged into it but no signal. I tried various port and cable combos, so not that, and the onboard graphics worked. I have yet to update mobo BIOS but I kinda doubt that would make a difference because it was running fine for a few weeks. The only thing I could think of is updating the drivers, but with EVGA I can only install the drivers when the card is in the computer, and not being able to see anything makes it hard to install drivers. Any other solutions or a way to bypass the driver issue would be great.

Solution
Firstly:

unplug the card from power and your PCI slot.
Then reinsert the card and run your PC, is there any difference?

What you can do is, run your PC of your dedicated graphics.
Download driver sweeper.

Un-install your drivers through the control panel.
Restart your PC in safe mode.
START MENU- type in MSCONFIG- boot tab- tick safe mode.

Restart in safe mode and run Driver sweeper and remove your driver.
( make sure your card is plugged into your motherboard)
INstall drivers.

That might be the problem but personally I don't think it is your drivers. What is your PSU?

The best way to test this is to plug your card into a friends Machine.

-good luck

PSU should be fine, it's a 525 and the graphics card is the only upgrade I've made from the stock HP model I originally bought. I'll be sure to try driver sweeper and starting in safe mode once I get the chance. Everyone in the house uses laptops so it's hard to test it out on another machine and I guess I could try putting the 300w PSU back in just to test. But if the fans still turn and the card gets hot wouldn't that mean the PSU isn't the issue? I'm really just trying to avoid sending it back to newegg, but if I have to I might just buy a R9 280 or 270x
