Hi , i have pretty much stuck with windows 7 , but i have now bought another SSD drive for putting my games on , so i was thinking i might install windows 8 on my gaming drive and have one drive for windows 7 and one for windows 8 (perhaps until i feel totally happy with using windows 8 , i am very happy with windows 7 for day to day use)

But the main reason is for gaming , will windows 8 improve my gaming performance with higher FPS .

My system is :-

AMD8350
16GB 1866 ram
280x graphics
840 evo ssd 250
550 crucial SSD 512

Advice please :)

Honestly, it won't make much of a difference. The 128 bit Version of windows 8 may provide a boost, but really it comes down to your parts. If you do not believe me, you are welcome to do your own research, someone has probably tested it.

Get the cheapest one for now, wait and see what windows 10 can do if you can.
