I am looking for help on the components I have chosen and whether they are good enough for what I am looking for.
I am building my own pc and I intend to use it for gaming purposes/perhaps even game making and of course every day use. Is what I have chosen fine considering I am on somewhat of a budget?

Intel® Core™i5 Dual Core Mobile Processor i5-4340M (2.90GHz) 3MB
8GB KINGSTON SODIMM DDR3 1600MHz (1 x 8GB)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 860M - 2.0GB DDR5, 640 CUDA Cores - DirectX® 11

8x SATA DVD±R/RW/Dual Layer (+ 24x CD-RW)

STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Intel 2 Channel High Definition Audio + MIC/Headphone Jack
GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS INTEL® N-7260 HMC (300Mbps, 802.11BGN) + BLUETOOTH
3 x USB 3.0 PORTS + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT AS STANDARD
Optimus Series 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (5,200 mAh/76.96WH)

Solution
The hardest part of building your own laptop is finding a case with holes in all the right places for the various connections. I don't see a case in your list.

Perhaps i should have been more specific, I am not actually building the laptop myself but instead getting it ready made from a website online, I am only asking about the components above to see if they are good enough for both game development/gaming and for ebery day use. All of the extras such as the laptop case and all the parts such as keyboard and touchpad come standard from the website.

Thanks
