Hello forum :)
First of all, I'm new here, so please just tell me if I do something wrong :D
So, I want to build a gaming PC with the following Parts: (links will direct you to a Swiss website, because... well I'm Swiss)

CPU: Intel core i7-4790K boxed https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/intel-core-i7-4790k-box-lga-1150-4ghz-unlocked-prozessor-2584654
CPU cooler: Corsair h100i CPU water cooler https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/corsair-h100i-all-in-one-mini-wakue-cpu-cooler-12cm-cpu-kuehler-373955
Graphics card: MSI GTX 970 gaming 4gb https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/msi-gtx-970-gaming-4g-gm204-4gb-grafikkarte-2763014
Mainboard: ASUS Maximus VII ranger https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-maximus-vii-ranger-lga-1150-z97-atx-mainboard-2580156
SSD: Samsung 850 PRO 512GB https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/samsung-850-pro-512gb-25-ssd-2728374
Case: Fractal DEFINE R4 black pearl midi tower https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/fractal-define-r4-black-pearl-midi-tower-pc-gehaeuse-353232
Power: Corsair rm750 with 750W https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/corsair-rm-series-rm750-750-watt-80-gold-750w-pc-netzteil-725003

And I don't know whether I need a cooling fan or not. Are they already in the case included? If not, I'd go with the be quiet! Silent Wings 2. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/be-quiet-silent-wings-2-140mm-pc-luefter-328211
Is 140mm ok for my case? And how many of them do I need?

Also, I already have 16GB of RAM, a 2TB HDD and an optical drive.
You see I took the boxed version of the i7 4790K even though I chose an additional CPU cooler. That's just because I couldn't find a trey version of the 4790K anywhere.

So my questions are:
- Is the build ok in terms of performance? (Are there any bottlenecks or parts that are too strong for the system?)
- Is the build good enough to play modern games on Ultra settings on 4k monitors?
- Does everything fit on the Motherboard?
- Does everything fit in the case?
- Do I need any additional cables or anything? (except for HDMI cables of course :D)

- Do you have any suggestions to make my build better?
Also, I think I wouldn't really need 750 Watts, but it was only ~20$ more expensive than 550Watts, so I chose that one to be able to upgrade my system in the future.
Thanks in advance for your answers :)

EDIT: The whole price is about 2000 USD.

No, 4k gaming is kinda impossible right now. Even gtx 970 sli struggles.
- Does everything fit on the Motherboard?
Sure.
- Does everything fit in the case?
Yes.

You shouldn't.

I have some questions for you:
1. Will you be overclocking?
2. What si this system for? what specific games will you be playing?
3. What is your max budget?
I think with the kind of money you are spending you could do better.

If you mean 3840 x 2160 for 4K, then even 970SLI gives only 40FPS on some titles.

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_970_sli_review,21.html Even overclocked GTX980 is challenged to reach 60FPS at 4K Ultra in modest titles, and certainly not with any effects for things like BF4. For that you are going to need to change your expectations or start with SLI 980. http://www.anandtech.com/show/8526/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-review/10

I would go with an air cooling solution for your CPU unless you plan crazy overclocks. Air is as good, cheap, quieter, and easier than liquid for normal overclocks.

1. Yes, that's why I chose an additional CPU cooler.
2. New ones that require a strong GPU (e.g. Dragon age: inquisition, Skyrim modded, GTA V, Just Cause 3, Far Cry 4 etc.)
3. That's about my max budget, 2000 USD.

But would the GTX 970 be strong enough for 1080p/60fps for ultra settings?

well I was told I needed water cooling if I was planning on overclocking, which I do. why are air coolers easier?

This is much, much better bang for your buck. It won't run every single game on ultra at 4k but it's the closest you can get with your budget.

Demosthenest suggestion seem much nicer. As said. Can't understand they both cost the same.

I didn't had much to say in general, I would pick the air cooler over the water one since the water ones don't seem to offer any of the benefits I thought they had (except putting less stuff on the motherboard.)

Whatever to get GTX 980 at all or get two of them is one thing which could be discussed of course but if you really want to spend the money and they fit or if you really want it to have a better shot at 4K.

Personally I think 8 GB of RAM is shit but many who play games say it's enough.

Personally I don't think it's enough for even web-surfing but obviously that's more extreme (as I do it) than gaming nowadays and if you're fine closing the browser ..

Easy to add another 8 GB later anyway.
