HD 7790 crossfire

I'm planning on buying an Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 mobo that has 2 PCIe slot so I thought I might get another HD 7790 as well. Currently I have MSI HD 7790 1gb which is pretty rare here and I might only get a Sapphire HD 7790 2gb. Will they work together in crossfire or should I get MSI only?

You can get the Sapphire, but there is no point in getting a 2 GB 7790 since if you CF it with your MSI 7790 (1 GB), you'll be limited to 1 GB of VRAM anyway.

I see. I mainly use my computer for gaming. A dual 7790 would make a great difference or should I save up for a better VGA ( of course the last would be better but I'd like save as money as I can but play the latest games like witcher 3 not on ultra but on a tolerable setting) ?

You should be fine with at 7790 CF set up. To get similar performance, you'd have to get an R9 280 or R9 280X.
