I have a dell inspiron with windows 7 and have lost sound. It returns when I do system restore but I have to do it every 2 day

Please help. I have lost the sound on my Dell inspiron windows 7. It comes back after system install but I have to do it every 2-3 days. I am not very computer savvy and am clueless what to do next.
