can i have a 750 power supply and run 280 gtx smooth have not buyed a second but if it doesnt work ill buy a weaker one?

A good 750w PSU shouldn't have a problem running 1 280x. For 2 its recommended to have an 850w PSU. A low quality weak 750w PSU may struggle to run 1 280x.

what 750w psu do you have? as said above a good one will have no problems. but a cheap no name brand may not provide all the power it claims.
are we talking about an r9-280x or a geforce gtx 280? either would be fine on a good 750w psu but there is about 25-50w or so difference between the 2.
