When overclocking it also depends on the silicon lottery, if you have a crappy CPU, it may only get 300mhz at the max safe voltage, so you have to take into account your CPU, it's pretty much luck of the draw, so don't set any expectations, so then if you do lose the lottery, it's not a disappointment, and then if you win, it's a surprise. My FX 8350 isn't top notch, only reaching 4.7Ghz before reaching the max, but I didn't set any goals or expectations, so I am perfectly happy with my overclock. Good luck!
