I know this has been asked many times before, but everyone's components are different and things may change.

I read that a 600w psu might handle a gpu like the 290, but I also read that corsair's power supplies aren't very good. But I already bought it, so I wanna know if I can use or even overclock the 290 without burning my whole system, or should I get a cx750?

My pc:
FX8350
970A-ud3p
2x4gb Kingston
Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-x
Seagate Barracuda 2tb
Nzxt 410

Even if you don't overclock, i would not suggest a CX series for a r9 290 card. Get a higher quality PSU. THe cx 750w would do slightly better, but quality wise is still not the best. I suggest spending a bit more on the PSU, even if it means sacrificing on the case or GPU. I suggest maybe Seasonic M12II 620w or something of that quality.

Okay so i got some extra money to buy a new psu, i thought buying a SeaSonic G Series 650-Watt 80 PLUS GOLD, it might be pretty nice since realhardtechx said 650w would be enough for my money, thing is i want to overclock, so maybe i might need 750w to overclock the 290...?

I had the cx600 for the r9 290 vapor x and its now starting to randomly restart my pc when i play games. I would not suggest it to anyone who might still read this.

Im upgrading to evga 750w so hopefully it fixes it. If not then might be the gpu :( but everyone is telling me psu is the problem
