So i have been wondering how to transfer my old hard drive full of my stuff into the new PC. I will order a new hard drive with the PC, and i still have the Windows 7 installation CD and key with me.

So if i install Windows 7 on the new computer on the new hard drive and get it up and running, and then go and plug in my old hard drive which too has Windows 7 installed, plus all of my music, pictures and games will i run into all kinds of complications or will the PC recognize that this is a secondary hard drive or something and it will work fine? Or will i have to uninstall Windows 7 from the old one first.

And CPU, GPU and other drivers, will have to uninstall them too from the old drive before plugging it in so everything will work?

What's the old drive? You could prob just install it and let it start itself up, then clone it to the new drive as the OS drive then format and use use old as a data drive.

Put computer together, install old drive only (make backups of all your data files first), and boot up - Win7 is good at examinging the new hardware and loading default drivers et al and you are up and running, then load all the latest mobo drivers for the new mobo, run a Registry cleaner (Wise has a good free one). Can then use a cloning program to clone your old drive to the new for it to be the primary. Then simply format the old and use it for a data drive
