Lost locked data on Toshiba USB flash drive

I have a 3 year old Toshiba 4GB USB flash drive which has Toshibas protection software. The partition this was on disappeared after plugging into a win8.1 machine. Has been used OK for couple of years. The unlock program has disappeared too, and there is now an empty folder in the only partition visible called lost.dir

Maybe if I put a copy of the protection program back on, if I can find a copy. I still have the password to unlock. I have tried some undelete programs but they only see one partition which is about 900MB.

OK, that was what I wanted to try. Only thing is that link is for quite a new software. My device is about 3 or 4 years old so I think I need one from around that date. It used to have a blue icon of a USB flash drive but I can't remember the name of the particular exe file.
I should add I already tried the transmemory file but it did not work, and was different to the old app.

If you look around the Toshiba site, you should find it. If you figure out the model number of the drive, you can also look in Support for the driver.
