Doing a build my first ever and I'm having trouble with my gpu. I went in to bios and set the priority of my graphics to PEG, however my graphics card still seems to be unrecognized. Power does not seem to be an issue as the gpu fans do start spinning.

Build
CPU: i5-4690k
RAM: 8GB
GPU: MSi radeon r9 290
Mobo: MSi z97 gaming gd65
Storage: Western Digital black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
PSU:Rosewill RD600-M 600W RT

What's PEG?

You shouldn't have to do anything in bios.

Is the card locked into a pcie x16 slot - nearest the CPU?

Are the 2 power supply connectors plugged into the graphics card?

Have you actually plugged the monitor into the graphics card? Somemistakenly plug it into the motherboard.

What port on the graphics card and on the monitor?
