Newly Build PC Problems

Hi, I have recently finished building a pc and have installed windows 7 and I am experiencing problems that are effecting the pc as it is freezing and even when it is idle it tends to freeze.

The specs are;

ASUS H81M-PLUS motherboard
Intel Pentium G3258 Processor
6GB RAM
Geforce GT 610 GPU
Windows 7 Home Premium

It in particular doesn't like it when I try to play games as it can be running fine for about any period of time and then all of a sudden it will decide to crash and I will have to press reset and start again from scratch with what I am doing.

To answer both your questions I am running the stock heatsink and my RAM is a 4GB and a 2GB config,
just to ask about the heatsink I don't how a new one could make a difference as its the OS that crashes and the CPU has an alarm shutdown temp.
but anyway my average CPU temp is anywhere from 50 C to 70 C.

They are not the same make as the RAM was a throw together really at the time and they are both running the same voltages and speed, and i will take out the 2 GB and see how things go for now, thanks for the suggestion.
