Hello all, I would like to build a gaming rig for $1000 MAX. I need peripherals,os, and monitor. Also I will be using wifi, so I need a wireless adapter. I play games such as Far Cry 4, H1Z1, and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The programs I will use for video editing and photo editing at Photoshop and Sony Vegas, also Cinema 4D for photos. Here is the form.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week (the closer the better)
Mid-End of February

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) Before / After Rebates; Before / After Shipping
Before rebates $1000, I can take care of the tax/shipping.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: (e.g.: Folding@Home, gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies)
Gaming and photo/video editing.

Are you buying a monitor:
Yes, please include it in the build.

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM) **Include Power Supply Make & Model If Re-using**
None, starting from scratch.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes / No
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Yes, Windows 8.1 or if Windows 10 comes out.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)
I will only buy from NCIX.com and Newegg.com. I trust them the most.

Location: City, State/Region, Country - we need to know where these parts are being assembled and whether there are good store-only deals available
California, United States.

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to upgrade to Intel CPU)
Whichever is good.

Overclocking: Yes / No / Maybe
No.

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe
No.

Your Monitor Resolution: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200 or if you're upgrading please state what you'd want to get)
I would like a 1920x1080 monitor, please include in the build.

Additional Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)
A windowed case would be nice but not required. Games I play are Far Cry 4, H1Z1, and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Programs I will use for photo and video editing are Photoshop, Sony Vegas, and Cinema 4D.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: (e.g. I'm having trouble running game X or my PSU broke)
Current PC having trouble running Far Cry 4 and H1Z1. I also have wanted to build a PC for a long time because I share my PC with my parents and I can't use it all the time.

Thanks in advanced.

I understand that. Thanks for this, if don't mind answering a few of my questions, I would like to ask some.
1. Will this be able to run H1Z1/Far Cry 4/CS:GO at medium-high settings 50-60 fps without a problem?

2. Wouldn't it be better to get Windows 8.1 instead of 7?

3. If I were to buy parts 1 by 1, which parts should I buy first?

Thanks.

This is all before rebates, like you requested. I know you said only Newegg and NCIX, but Amazon is good, too. One time I ordered a monitor from Amazon, and when it arrived it didn't work. They had great customer service, and sent me a replacement very quickly.

Ahh, I see thanks! I'll ask the same questions as I did with i7Baby.

Ah I see, I will change it. Will the Rosewill pcie be good? Also, how would the i5 4460 do with light video/photo editing, I think I want Intel instead of AMD that's why. If I get a 24in monitor it would go a bit more over my budget so the one I have now will be okay with me. Thanks

I'll stick with the i5 since I won't be editing a lot since gaming is more important.
This is my final build, before I start buying it I wanna ask, is it good for my budget?

Okay, this is the build. I won't change the monitor because I don't think I need a really good monitor, thanks for the suggestion though, besides the monitor, is this good? Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.
