Hi
so, first of all, i dont know very much about PCs, sorry if this question is stupid.
Anyway, is it ok to mix
RipjawsX F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL
and
Ripjaws F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

it looks like they are almost the same, except that RipjawsX has
Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) Ready.

I have
RipjawsX F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL
already, but now i want more memory and want to buy Ripjaws F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL.

Also since Ripjaws use Double channel technology will my system slow down if i buy one 8 GB RipjawsX and mix with you know 2*4GB?

my system is
AMD FX-8320 @ 4 GHz
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
ASUS ATI R9 270X 2GB
RipjawsX F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL

Thanks in advance!

The Hyper 212 EVO won't mattter the fan is height adjustable - going with a 8GB stick or a second set of the same is mixing the DRAM (yes, even if same exact model) - if you have to mix get a second set of the same model you have - if any problems give me a shout - I can normally get the RJ X to play nice with minor adjustments

I found this on Memory FAQ here on the site:
Q: I currently have two sticks of 512mb pc3200 memory in DIMM 1 and 3 to reach the performance of dual channel DDR. Can I also add two sticks of 256mb PC3200 in dimm's 2 and 4 to reach 1.5GB of ram and still maintain dual channel performance?
A: As long as you have matched memory pairs on each channel, you should be able to run dual channel.

The only potential problem: Because you are using 4 memory modules, which require more power, your system may clock the speed of the modules down to maintain stability.

Q: Can I add 256MB and 512MB modules together?
A: Yes. Make sure you do not exceed the total memory size.

Doesnt this apply to my case?

That applies to DDR and wasn't entirely accurate then - DDR2 often mixed well - DDR3 is a crapshoot - even mixing two identical sets there is no guarantee they will play nice together - that's why they test DRAM in order to package sticks together. they might have to test 8-10 sticks to find four that will play nice in a 4 stick package

Damn, so i have to buy another RipjawsX F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL Kit then.
I Hope its gonna fit in my Motherboard, because there is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo in the way, right above one of the slots.

Thats way the second question. ^^
If i buy one stick of the same RipjawsX but with 8 GB, will it slow down the system, since its not dual channel?
