Help new build first build intel compatability

Hi everyone im doing my first build in 2 weeks very excited to join the pc users and get off the console FINIALY i dont know what i was missing.....

Anyways im getting a Intel Core i5-4690K Processor (6M Cache, upto 3.9 GHz) FC-LGA12C
and i would like a asus motherboard that is compatably ibut i have 0 idea on how to find compatabilty im looking for 150-200$ range montherboard also my gpu Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB GDDR5 PCiE Video Graphics Card GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD

A good Asus Motherboard would be the Z-97 A. Its pretty popular amongst many system builders and gets the job done well for both gaming and any miscellaneous use, not to mention you can SLI with this board. The motherboard comes with 5 way optimisation that allows you to get excellent overclocking, reduced lag etc...

If your into serious gaming (like FPS games) you could add an extra 10 bucks to your budget for an Asus Maximus VII Hero which comes with TONS of useful gaming features and the board uses very durable materials to ensure your board will last for a long time. One thing I like about this board is that its extremely easy to Overclock your CPU with this board and it also allows you to reach stable high clock speeds.
