I'm trying to build on top of a very outdated gaming computer, and I just bought an R9 280x for it, not quite sure if I can fit it with my psu though. It's a 750w delta psu, and it has 3 free 6 pin connectors, and two free 2 pin connectors (I'm not sure if they are 6+2 or not, sort of new to this). The R9 280x has an 8 pin slot and a 6 pin slot, can I just mix a 6 pin and 2 pin for the 8?
Link to the psu if it helps at all:

Solution
if it can even run it - possibly may damage it also if used for long hours of gaming.

i suggest not trying it just to be safe.

6+2 pins is equal to an 8 pin

the answer is yes use the 6+2 pin and the other 6 pin to power your 280x

but your psu even at 750 watts only has 18 amps on its 12vrails which is very very low if you want to run a 280x - you need atleast 35amps or higher or else your gpu will underperform due to lack of power distributed to it.

you may try it but if you run into some problems better change that powersupply to a better quality from trusted brands like seasonic, evga, thermaltake, corsair, enermaxx, etc.

Could running it possibly damage the card? I'm planning on upgrading to a Corsair RM1000 and buying another 280x as soon as I get paid again, so if there's any chance of it being damaged, I can just hold off until then.
