New PC builder here so my problem is that I might have to update the BIOS. Reason for this is that I checked physically on the motherboard the revision number which is 1.00, Asus says that my CPU AMD FX 6300 is supported at BIOS version 1006. http://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/HelpDesk_CPU/
Is there a good chance that the manufacturer ships these products with the latest BIOS installed at that time?
If my CPU is not supported on the installed BIOS will my computer not work?
Out of these three methods which the manual gives options to what is the best way of updating the BIOS; Asus update (update through windows), Asus EZ flash (update using a USB flash drive) and Asus BIOS updater ( update in DOS environment using the motherboard support dvd and a USB flash disk drive)
help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the noob questions.
